2012-2013 Board Meeting Schedule

Please note the following:

  • Board meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. (unless otherwise posted). These public meetings are held in McCauley Chambers, located on the 2nd floor at the Centre for Education (One Kingsway).

  • Board meeting agendas and reports (in .pdf format) are posted below by 4:30 p.m. the Thursday before a board meeting.

  • Board meetings are audio recorded as well as webcast live. Audio recordings of board meetings will be retained for five years. Media may also attend these meetings and you may appear in media coverage.

    Speaking at Board Meetings:

  • If a member of the public wishes to give a position to the Board on a specific board report, the individual must pre-register with the Board Office at 780-429-8021 by noon on the day of the board meeting. Comments should be kept to a maximum of three minutes and be addressed to the Board Chair.

    Please Note: At the February 5, 2013 board meeting, the Board Chair advised that the Board is considering revising its practices with respect to the Comments from the Public and Staff Group Representatives section of board agendas; but will try the changes over the next few board meetings prior to making a final decision. The changes, beginning with the February 12, 2013 board meeting, are as follows:

  • Those wanting to speak under Comments from the Public and Staff Group Representatives at the beginning of a board meeting will be required to pre-register with the Board Office 780-429-8021 by noon on the day of the board meeting. Comments should be kept to a maximum of three minutes and be addressed to the Board Chair.

  • An opportunity to speak under Comments from the Public and Staff Group Representatives at 5:00 p.m. will be provided once per month at the last board meeting of the month -- those wanting to speak at that time will be required to pre-register with the Board Office 780-429-8021 by noon on the day of the board meeting. Comments should be kept to a maximum of three minutes and be addressed to the Board Chair. If there are no registrants to speak at 5:00 p.m., the meeting will be adjourned when business is concluded.

  • The Board will not permit critical statements to be made about particular individuals or schools whether named or identifiable by the context.
