2015-2016 Student Achivement Results 

Highlights of the 2015-2016 results include:
 
  • An increase in the five-year high school completion rate for the fifth consecutive year, up 2.1 per cent over five years.
  • Accountability Pillar results from the province show improved performance, with all measure category evaluations at good or excellent.
  • Compared to the Province, students in Grades 6 and 9 continue to do well in achieving the acceptable standard and standard of excellence on provincial achievement tests.

"These are strong results that continue to build on our success over the last five years,” said Michael Janz, Board Chair. “These positive results indicate that the priorities, goals and common focus we’ve identified in our strategic plan are working.”

“I’m very proud of how our staff continue to meet the educational needs of an increasingly complex population – which is borne out by the fact that our student achievement results remain steady overall,” said Darrel Robertson, Superintendent of Schools, “This is not to say that we’ll stop striving toward improvement. We’ll keep working hard to help our students overcome whatever obstacles may stand between them and success in school and beyond.”
