Description

The successful candidate for this full-time, temporary position will support the Infrastructure Planning Office with the collection and maintenance of information for the ARCHIBUS system.

ABOUT YOU:

  • you are detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • you have a strong understanding of AutoCAD and ARCHIBUS systems
  • you are customer-focused and comfortable interacting with various stakeholders

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Planning Technician will:

  • develop processes and procedures for the acquisition, review and update of District school building data within ARCHIBUS
  • lead the incorporation of school building floor plans with other spatial data related to District land assets and planned sites
  • ensure school space use and utilization tracking is updated annually
  • assist in the collection, analysis, and presentation of enrolment, program and school building information for District staff
  • monitor changes to school spaces due to modernizations or other capital initiatives

ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • a diploma in Architectural or Interior Design
  • a minimum of one year related experience including experience with AutoCAD and construction drawings
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
