Edmonton Public Schools requires a full-time, permanent, 10 month Library Technician to join our team of dedicated staff to work with children in a French Immersion environment. As the ideal candidate, you will work independently to maintain the school library and work collaboratively with Teachers to support programming.

ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • you have a recognized diploma in Library and Information Technology
  • you have a minimum of one year related experience preferably in a school environment
  • you are fluent in French
  • you have excellent communication and collaboration skills

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Library Technician will:

  • coordinate the operation and maintenance of the learning commons and makerspace technology including software applications
  • oversee care, inventory and maintenance of technology equipment
  • assist with evaluating learning commons and makerspace effectiveness
  • plan and organize program promotions, public relations events and clubs
  • provide one-on-one and small group support in the French Immersion and English programs
