District Awards

Each year, we proudly recognize and celebrate the diversity of excellence and success for Grade 12 students across the District.

In June, we announced the winners of the Michael A. Strembitsky Award of Excellence. This award honours the District’s longest serving superintendent, Michael A. Strembitsky, and is given to the top three Grade 12 students who model inclusivity, leadership and compassion. Read the full biographies to learn more about the 2016 winners.

We also offer six additional awards in categories representing broad curricular themes, attributes of citizenship and overall commitment to learning. District high schools may recognize one student for each award category.
