Homesteader School is a safe, supportive school that fosters social, emotional and academic growth. We understand the importance of providing our students with an environment of trust, co-operation and respect. Our elementary school offers full-day Kindergarten and the regular, Opportunity and Early Education programs. Balanced Literacy is used in all classrooms, and the Home Reading Program, choir, student leadership, Super Leader Program, character education, intramurals and other extracurricular clubs promote school spirit and provide students with opportunities to develop sportsmanship and positive social skills.
We are proud to have the Leader in Me program, and our goal is to be recognized for character, academics and community service. We are also an Apple school with a focus on healthy living. Our school is well supported by our school and parent councils. Students from communities, outside the Homesteader community, are welcome in our Opportunity and Early Education programs.
