These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About McArthur School

McArthur School fosters the growth of students so they can contribute positively to their global community. We offer the regular elementary program and the Strategies Program. Our school encourages citizenship with programs such as Super Citizenship, character education, Emcee Club, performing arts, student leadership, in-school mentoring, and an office and library helpers program. Other opportunities include Computer Club, Running Club, choir, dance and patrols. We provide Grade 4 to 6 students with French as a Second Language and use Balanced Literacy in Grades 1 to 6.

Our school council is very active, providing financial support for things like field trips, technology and in-school presentations, and parents participate in various school activities. After-school care is available in the building.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In giving each student the opportunity to realize his or her intellectual, physical, social and emotional potential
  • In providing an appropriate and challenging learning experience in a secure environment
  • In promoting citizenship, responsible behaviour and respect for differences while nurturing independent thinking, self-worth, dignity and lifelong learning
