These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Ormsby School

Ormsby School encourages students to think, wonder and question. The Leader in Me program is part of the core curriculum and our everyday language; the seven habits are part of our culture, helping students develop leadership skills and self-confidence. We offer the regular Kindergarten to Grade 6 program and Strategies. French as a Second Language is taught starting in Grade 4. Balanced Literacy is used in all classes, and we provide literacy support when necessary.

We emphasize academic achievement, literacy, meeting the unique needs of students, technology and leadership. Our outdoor classroom, or Naturescape, is used frequently. The school has partnerships with community organizations, and parents and community members volunteer for school activities.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In our school motto: “Think, believe, achieve”
  • In teaching students problem-solving strategies and in helping them become successful readers, writers, mathematicians and citizens
