These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Parkallen School

Parkallen School is situated in the southwest area of the city in close proximity to the University of Alberta. Parkallen School offers regular, Chinese (Mandarin) Bilingual, Interactions and Opportunity programs. Interactions programming supports students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Opportunity program provides adapted learning based on the individual needs of each student.

We value and encourage the involvement of families and community members. Parkallen School shares our building with the YMCA daycare/after school program and the Green Circle Pre-School. This is very helpful for families with young children and those who need childcare before and after school.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In fostering engaged, lifelong learners who will have a positive impact on the world
  • In empowering all students by meeting individual needs to cultivate academic and social growth
  • In providing leadership, collaboration and meaningful learning opportunities in a dynamic school community
