These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Prince Charles School

At Prince Charles School, we promote and develop the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth of all students in a safe, caring, respectful and peaceful environment. We offer the Awasis Urban Aboriginal Program to meet the needs of urban Aboriginal students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. We use Balanced Literacy and offer the Literacy Program for students with special needs as well as Reading Recovery and Middle Years Literacy Intervention. All students receive Cree language instruction and are encouraged to participate in the Aboriginal History Quiz, choir, guitar and fiddle, traditional and Metis dance, Coyote Pride, Scouts in School and drama.

Prince Charles School serves all of Edmonton, and most of our students are of Aboriginal ancestry. We offer full-day Kindergarten, and all students are provided with a hot lunch. Our school has many community partnerships to support students and families. We are also an APPLE school, helping teachers, students and staff make healthy choices.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • That all students can be successful learners and that all students learn at different rates and in different ways
  • That learning is achieved through the co-operation of students, parents and the community
  • In setting high expectations for academic growth and positive behaviour
