REASONS FOR THE CHANGE

This decision will allow students to attend school closer to home.

CHOOSING TO REMAIN AT YOUR CURRENT SCHOOL

Students from the Glenridding Ravine neighbourhood who currently attend Lendrum or Avalon schools could stay. However, families will need to make their own arrangements for students to get to and from school.

Siblings would also be able to attend, as long as an older sibling is currently attending the school and both students will be attending the school at the same time in 2019-20.

GETTING TO SCHOOL

Yellow bus service will be provided to eligible students who attend their designated elementary school. Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for junior high students; however, if ETS does not meet District standards, eligible junior high students may apply for yellow bus service.

PRE-ENROLMENT FOR THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR

Parents with children currently enrolled in a District school can sign into SchoolZone and choose their preferred school for next year between March 11 and April 15, 2019. Students are guaranteed entry to their designated school if they register or pre-enrol by April 15, 2019 at 4 p.m.
