W. P. Wagner School strives to be an exemplary school that promotes the pursuit of personal bests by creating challenging, student-centered learning environments. We are a caring community that serves south-east Edmonton neighbourhoods. We are committed to excellence, responsibility and accountability through effective communication, collaboration, best practices and innovative use of technology.

We promote academic excellence and offer outstanding programming in fine arts, international languages, Career and Technology Studies, and physical education. Our Focus on Research, Science and Technology (FIRST) Program explores areas more deeply and partners with mentors in post-secondary institutes or working in the field.

We’re also an Advanced Placement school, offering academically challenging courses. Our Interactions Program supports students with Autism. Our Student Leadership Program engages in a range of activities and volunteerism. The W. P. Wagner School Senate provides a strong student voice which is taken into account in school-decision making. Students have opportunities to take Work Experience and Registered Apprenticeship Programs through partnerships with local businesses.
