LEARN TO RIDE THE BUS SAFELY

News item: First Riders 2019

Is your child a first-time bus rider? Join us on Thursday, August 22 at Northlands Park for First Riders! This free event gives students and their parents a chance to become familiar with the bus riding experience before the first day of school. Climb on board to help your child learn to ride the bus safely and with confidence.

WHO’S IT FOR?

First Riders is for:

  • Pre-Kindergarten children
  • Kindergarten and Grade 1 students
  • Grade 7 students transitioning to Edmonton Transit Service
  • Students who are taking the bus for the first time or who need a refresher

Families attending evening sessions may wait longer.

PRE-REGISTER

Pre-register by August 15 to secure your spot.

First Riders is hosted by Edmonton Public Schools, Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord and Edmonton Catholic Schools, together with our five school bus contractors and Edmonton Transit Service (ETS).

Media will be invited and may take photos and videos at the event.
