Summer Options

Campus EPSB helps students earn high school credits and industry credentials, get ahead of their studies or prepare for post-secondary. It’s a great way to explore opportunities and get hands-on experience.

LODGE 146 BOILERMAKER SUMMER OPTION

Work Experience credits
Lodge 146 Union Training Centre

Open to students 17 years of age or older, this Campus EPSB summer option is a two-week exploratory pre-employment opportunity to learn about the boilermaker trade from experienced instructors at the Lodge 146 Union Training Centre. Instruction will be delivered through a blend of theory and hands-on learning activities. Students who complete this opportunity may be able to transition into an apprenticeship and begin working in the trade.

CARPENTER SUMMER OPTION

Work Experience credits
Alberta Carpenters Training Centre

Open to students 16 years of age or older, this Campus EPSB summer option is an exploratory pre-employment opportunity to learn about carpenter trades from experienced instructors at the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre. Instruction will be delivered through a blend of theory and hands-on learning activities. Students who participate in this four-week opportunity will gain skills in the highly demanded trade of carpentry.

Open to students 16 years of age or older, this Campus EPSB summer option is a four-week exploratory pre-employment opportunity to learn about the mechanical insulator trade from experienced instructors at the Local 110 Union Training Centre. Instruction will be delivered through a blend of theory and hands-on learning activities. Students who complete this opportunity may be able to transition into an apprenticeship and begin working in the trade.
