Joey Moss School is a Level 1 school on the Growth Control Model and will have an open attendance area. This means:
Yellow bus service will not be provided to Joey Moss School, as all resident students living in the primary attendance area live within the walk boundary.
Students from Keswick attending Grade 8 and 9 at S. Bruce Smith School will still receive yellow bus service, as it will still be their designated school until Joey Moss School offers Grades 8 and 9.
Students in K–6 who choose to stay at Ormsby School next year can still attend. However, yellow bus service will not be provided. Families will need to make their own plans to get students to and from school, because students would no longer be attending their designated school.
We used feedback we heard through our online survey. We made decisions that:

The new school in Keswick will be named after Joey Moss. Joey Moss captured the hearts of Edmontonians for decades. He became a household name for the Edmonton Oilers and the Edmonton Eskimos (now the Edmonton Elks), working as a dressing room attendant for both organizations since the 1980s. Players and fans alike looked up to Joey for his passion, positive attitude and incredible work ethic. He taught many people about acceptance and inclusivity through his work and community involvement with both organizations.
The Board of Trustees approved this school name and provided an update on the renaming of Dan Knott and Oliver schools, at a public board meeting on June 22, 2021.
