Join us in celebrating Black History Month

February is Black History Month! Throughout the month, we will collectively honour the lives, histories and accomplishments of Black Albertans and Canadians. 

From art projects and social studies lessons to virtual visits from influential Black Albertans, staff and students have many initiatives planned to celebrate the incredible impact Black people have on our city, province and country.

LISTEN, HEAR, LEARN: HONOURING BLACK VOICES

Black community members at Edmonton Public Schools are sharing a powerful reminder that our work to end racism continues. 

In collaboration with Diversity Education, families, students and staff created this video to celebrate Black History month and continue the conversation. Thanks to the participants who shared some of their lived experiences and messages of hope for the future.
