Edmonton Public Schools foundation

The Edmonton Public Schools Foundation was launched in 2010 to raise friends and funds to support student success and full-day Kindergarten programming. It offers the community opportunities to support teaching and learning through financial and in-kind donations, and gifts of time. 100 per cent of all contributions go directly into Kindergarten classrooms to give Edmonton's socially vulnerable students promising futures. Currently, the Foundation funds full-day Kindergartens at Beacon Heights, Calder, Lauderdale, Mee-Yah-Noh, Princeton and Tipaskan schools.

The Edmonton Public Schools Foundation is run by a Director and a Fund Development Associate, and has a Board of Governors. The Foundation's work also involves helping the community understand the importance of a strong public education system and the critical role elected officials play in advancing public education. Each year, an Edmonton Public school Trustee is appointed to sit on the Board of Governors.
