Human Resources serves more than 10,000 staff—teachers, support, custodial, maintenance and exempt staff who work hard to support the mission of the Division and meet the diverse needs of students.

Human Resources is responsible for recruiting, hiring, deploying, developing and supporting staff; pay and benefits; classification and compensation; occupational health and safety, health recovery and employee and family assistance; information security; as well as staff relations and labour relations. The department also provides leadership, advice and assistance to support respectful learning and working environments.
