Submission requirements, criteria and process

To submit an individual or team nomination, you must be logged in to a Google account (it does not have to be an Edmonton Public Schools Google account).

Each nomination must be supported by three nominators.

What you need

Please have the following documents ready before starting the submission, as you must complete the process in a single session. The three nominator letters can be submitted in one of the following formats:

  • PDF
  • Word doc
  • Google doc

The principal consent form must be saved and submitted as a PDF.

Document list

  • The signed Principal/DU Administrator consent form.
  • Three signed written letters of support for each submission (one from each nominator).
    • For examples, see the past recipients sidebar on the Division Recognition page. Recipient summaries are based on support letters.
    • Nominator(s) cannot be part of a nominated team.
  • Completed nominee(s) POPA consent form.
    • All nominees must consent to being nominated and consent to the use of personal information related to Division Recognition (such as Division online channels, recognition program and potential event).
    • You do not need to submit the POPA consent forms, but you do need to save them at your school/decision unit.
  • A high-resolution photo of an individual nominee or team members and any other supporting materials you feel are important (like a video or news story). Photos must be:
    • in JPEG format
    • high resolution (the file size must be at least 2 MB)

And, for Team nominations only:

A completed Excel or Google Sheet containing all team member information and confirmation of consent to use their personal information for Division Recognition.

  • Team list template (make a copy and save with your information)
    • All information must be filled out.

Applications for the 2025–26 school year will open in February 2026.
