These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Old Scona School

Old Scona provides motivated students who have demonstrated academic success with an opportunity to pursue a challenging, enriching program of studies. We offer International Baccalaureate (IB) programming, in which students can earn an Alberta High School Diploma and choice in earning the full Diploma Programme or a certificate in individual Diploma Programme courses. Students traditionally produce exceptional performance results in their individual areas of excellence.

Our school is located in the heart of historic Old Strathcona and our campus and school history contribute to the culture, creativity and experiences of that community. The community includes the University of Alberta, nearby hospitals and the artistic, cultural and commercial venues of Whyte Avenue. Students come to us from across Edmonton.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • That parents are key partners in the learning process
  • In ensuring that students graduate fully prepared to continue in their areas of excellence in post-secondary studies
