These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Virginia Park School

Virginia Park School integrates academics with the arts. We believe that students benefit from an arts education because it cultivates many forms of understanding, fostering respect for individual, cultural and aesthetic diversity. In addition to regular elementary programming, arts specialists teach music, art dance and drama every week. An annual artist-in-residence program brings in visiting artists to work directly with students and teachers in both performing and visual arts, and there are special events, field trips and opportunities to showcase student work.

We develop community partnerships that enrich our students’ artistic and academic experiences. The annual parent-sponsored Fine Arts Night is a major school fundraiser and specifically supports the artist-in-residence program.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • That imagination inspires the love of learning and that, like imagination, learning has no boundaries
  • That the arts are essential to a rich and meaningful education, inviting creative risk-taking, invention and innovation
  • In creating a joyous, challenging, stimulating environment that encourages creativity and supports student achievement
