At Westbrook School, we create an environment that allows students to develop curiosity and meet their potential. We offer the regular elementary program and the Gifted and Talented program. Grades 4 to 6 receive French as a Second Language, and all students receive art and music instruction. We offer literacy and numeracy support through our Pyramid of Intervention, which includes Leveled Literacy Intervention, literacy enrichment/remediation and math enrichment/remediation.
Westbrook School serves students from the Aspen Gardens, West Blue Quill and Skyrattler communities. Most Westbrook graduates go to Vernon Barford Junior High School. Students from many other communities in Edmonton are in the Gifted and Talented program.
Our school is rich in cultural diversity, and our parent community plays a strong role in the school. Community groups use our building after hours, and we have many partnerships with community organizations.
