These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Jackson Heights School

Jackson Heights School helps students to be independent thinkers and responsible citizens in a positive, challenging and diverse learning environment. We offer the regular Kindergarten to Grade 6 program and Strategies for students in Grades 4 to 6. Other special needs students are included in regular classrooms. French as a Second Language is provided for all students in Grades 4 to 6.

At Jackson Heights we have a number of English Language Learners, reflecting the cultural diversity of the community. Our school benefits from a variety of informal partnerships and networks that support teaching, learning and the overall school environment, and we support the community by participating in a number of fundraising campaigns.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In challenging students to become lifelong learners and to practise good citizenship and healthy living
  • In creating a positive learning environment where students, as responsible global citizens, feel accepted and safe
  • That school-wide events, classes working together and celebrating our diversity result in a strong sense of community
