About Beacon Heights School

Beacon Heights School gives students the opportunity to work at their ability level and to have a strong sense of self-worth. We are a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school. Our community is respectful and inclusive, and our students engage in learning that is relevant to their daily lives.

Students qualifying for Emotional/Behavioural, Opportunity, Literacy, English Language Learning and Interactions programs are in regular classrooms. Extracurricular activities include choir, handbell choir, Running Club, safety patrols, indoor and outdoor soccer and Chess Club. Parents and the community are involved through the school council and volunteer opportunities.

  • In making sure that all students are physically and emotionally healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged
  • In helping students develop skills for problem solving and critical thinking
  • In creating opportunities to use current and future technologies
