Program Enrolment 2019-20View more information

These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Dan Knott School

Dan Knott School sets high expectations for student achievement and provides students with opportunities for growth and development while teaching the importance of leadership. Our junior high offers a full array of opportunities for students, including regular programming, Advanced Placement, Literacy, Strategies and Behaviour, and Learning Assistance. A strong student leadership program, extensive athletic programs, and many clubs and activities foster school spirit and community involvement.

We are part of a program called The Way In, which brings services into the school from many community groups. These partnerships help us support students and families academically, socially and emotionally with resources such as a success coach, a registered nurse specializing in mental health, an addictions counsellor, a YMCA healthy living coach, an Aboriginal commitment coach, and a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship coach.

We believe:

  • In taking a collaborative approach to teaching that is focused on the unique needs of each student
  • In providing many engaging activities to help each student feel part of a productive, caring school
  • In setting high expectations for students, who are encouraged to be positive members of the community
