About Dan Knott School

Dan Knott is dedicated to engaging students in authentic learning experiences in a caring and supportive environment. We strive to provide quality instruction and programming to meet their needs. Our goal is to create motivated students who are self-directed learners within the 21st Century context as well as capable, connected and contributing members of society. Staff, parents and community work together to maximize the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. Dan Knott students will become confident, responsible and productive global citizens.

In addition to providing regular programming, Dan Knott is a Division site for Strategies, Interactions and Pre-Advanced Placement programming. Core courses (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education and French) and complementary courses (Instrumental Music, Art, Environmental Outdoor Education, Career and Technology Studies, Learning to Lead, Foods, Construction, Photography, Extra Physical Education and 3D printing/Computer Studies) provide a well-rounded learning experience. Programming extensions and interventions are supported on our full-day Flex Thursdays. A cross-graded homeroom promotes student leadership, respectful peer relationships and a strong sense of community.
