Westglen School is committed to creating a learning community where students experience academic success and personal growth. All students receive daily physical education. Starting in Grade 1, students receive weekly dance and drama programming. Starting in Grade 4, students receive instruction in French as a Second Language. In Grade 5, students explore their interests and passions and learn about various career possibilities, occupational area skills, knowledge and technologies through Career Technology Foundations.
Grade 6 students are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program, which develops knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world. Westglen students participate in projects related to the IB Middle Years Program that promote intercultural understanding, environmental sustainability and community service.
