Ward: C Term: October 2017-2021
Shelagh Dunn is a psychologist with a passion for student well-being, mental health and community involvement. She is a parent to two children attending Edmonton Public Schools.
Shelagh hopes to improve services and resources to support student well-being, and connect with school communities to represent their needs at the Board level.
Shelagh holds a PhD and a master of educational psychology from the University of Alberta. She has conducted research on bullying in schools, and has provided counselling in school and health-care settings. She has worked as a researcher, volunteered with programs promoting community mental health and served on committees promoting equity, diversity and respect in education. She currently works as a psychologist in private practice.
