About Riverbend School

At Riverbend School, we recognize that students each have their own rate of learning and growth. At our junior high, students pursue excellence in the areas of ability, character and citizenship. We accommodate individual student needs and offer intramurals, interschool athletics and fine arts. Students are involved in the community through fine arts performances, displays at various venues and charitable fundraising events.

Riverbend school council and the community provide excellent support, and community programs use our gym.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • That students learn best when they are actively involved in their learning
  • That providing a safe environment with opportunities and encouragement allows each student to experience challenge and success

OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOLS

For 2025–26 our school will use a lottery process for new resident students living in our attendance area. Students who are not selected can attend Avalon School or a school with space in planned classes.
