At Sifton School, we provide the opportunity and the encouragement for every student to learn in a safe and caring environment, to be a responsible citizen and a lifelong learner. For students in Kindergarten to Grade 6, we provide regular programming where students can take French as a Second Language starting in Grade 4. We also provide the Behaviour and Learning Assistance program for eligible students, Full-day Kindergarten and two half-day Pre-Kindergarten classes.
Balanced Literacy programming and Leveled Literacy Intervention pull out work supports the school's focus on literacy. The Character Education program, which promotes citizenship development and encourages positive choices, was introduced in the 2016-2017 school year. As an APPLE School, we help students be physically active, make nutritious eating choices and form positive mental health habits.
