Board Announces New Superintendent of Schools

At a board meeting held this evening, the Board of Trustees had the great honour and pleasure to announce Mr. Darrel Robertson as the new Superintendent of Schools.

Mr. Robertson is currently the managing director of Human Resources, and succeeds Edgar Schmidt, who served as Superintendent for six years.

Mr. Robertson has dedicated his entire career to supporting the success of students. His passion for education has allowed him to be a transformative force in the District for over 17 years. The Board was impressed by Mr. Robertson’s core values and beliefs, and feels his skill set brings an ideal combination of education and business knowledge, but also humanity and compassion to his new role.
