Board Chair statement on Trustee resignation

Trustee Trisha Estabrooks has resigned as Trustee for Ward D, effective January 23, 2025. Board Chair Julie Kusiek issued the following statement on behalf of the Board of Trustees:

I want to express my gratitude, personally and on behalf of the Board of Trustees, for the years of service Trisha brought to her role as both Trustee and as former Board Chair.

Trisha has served her constituency of Ward D with passion, energy and enthusiasm since first being elected in 2017. We appreciate her dedication and the impact she has had on Edmonton Public Schools. We wish her well in her future endeavours.

The Board of Trustees will have a Caucus meeting on Tuesday to discuss how her constituents will continue to be represented for the rest of the term.
