Board of Trustees

When the Board of Trustees joined the Edmonton Pride Parade, the hope and intention was to participate and show up as allies for the 2SLGBTQIA+ members of our school communities. We take our roles to listen, learn and adjust course when we hear that anyone doesn't feel safe or included, incredibly seriously. We stand in solidarity with the Edmonton Public Teacher Local 37 and community members who have reached out to share their experiences and perspectives. After reflecting on those perspectives, we have decided not to participate in the 2026 Edmonton Pride Parade. Though we are not participating in this event, we look forward to participating in other celebrations of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community this weekend and beyond.
