Board statement on proposed provincial legislation

Edmonton Public Schools is committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for the 120,000 students we serve. We recognize the importance of strong relationships that students and families have with their school, and we encourage open communication as we support each student’s unique learning journey.

The Board of Trustees is currently reviewing Bill 27, Education Amendment Act, to understand how it will impact schools and students. We value the perspectives of families and the community and encourage you to stay informed about the legislation as it is debated and discussed in the Legislature.
