READ IN Week 2024—Reading is for everyone!

During the week of October 7, schools across the Division will celebrate READ IN Week and this year’s theme is Reading is for everyone! Whether it’s with a friend, alone or together as a class, reading happens in so many ways. From recipes to audiobooks, graphic novels and the news, the possibilities are endless. 

This year is the 35th anniversary of READ IN Week, an event that instills the love of reading in Edmontonians and people in the surrounding area.

GETTING INVOLVED 

Anyone can participate in READ IN Week! In previous years, we’ve welcomed athletes, politicians, authors, media personalities, parents, students and community members to classes across the city.

Guest readers are welcome at participating schools for both in-person and virtual readings. To find a class, you are encouraged to contact a school directly.
