Update on potential labour action—tentative agreement reached

News item: Labour action update ATA and TEBA tentative agreement

The Division is aware that the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association have reached a tentative agreement. While a Memorandum of Agreement has been reached, the ATA’s strike notice remains in effect until the ratification process is complete.

Teachers must vote on the agreement, which is scheduled to take place from September 27 through to September 29. Results will be shared after the vote is complete.

Additional information will be shared with families as it becomes available.
