Description: Students will gain an introduction to financial accounting, focusing on the accounting cycle and the preparation of financial statements. Topics include accounting for merchandising activities, internal control, accounting for cash, temporary investments, accounts receivable, inventories, cost of goods sold and current liabilities. Students should be comfortable with their math skills.

Description: This course is a continuation of ACT 1011 to allow for additional study of accounting at an introductory level. Topics include capital assets, long-term liabilities, partnership accounting, accounting for corporations, financial analysis techniques, as well as the cash flow statement using various technologies. Students must have successfully completed ACT 1011.

Description: Architectural Design Studio – Foundations of Design I is the first of 10 studio courses that will prepare you for work in an architect’s office. This course explores the creative design process through a series of composition, abstraction and design projects. The aim of ADST 200 is to familiarize you with the creative application of sound analytical skills, imaginative conceptual thinking and form-making abilities. You will be introduced to a design process based on original thinking, in which you will synthesize collected information and draw conclusions based on established premises. The course will also demonstrate how to generate a number of design alternatives, and evaluate and select the most appropriate one.

Description: PSYC 1040 is the basic foundation course in psychology. It provides an introduction to the scientific study of behaviour and the mind. PSYC 1050 builds on the introductory knowledge from PSYC 1040 with a focus on the study of cognition (thinking), intelligence and creativity, motivation and emotion, personality, health, stress and coping, psychological disorders, therapies, and social behaviour.

Description: Learn the fundamental concepts and theories specific to rehabilitation, and gain an introduction to the field of interdisciplinary rehabilitation practice. Students will explore the skills, roles and traits of the therapy assistant within the interdisciplinary team.

Description: Students will become familiar with selected animal health organizations, and will adhere to the regulations of veterinary medicine in Alberta. Description: ATG 1008 Solving Technology Problems is designed to help you understand the fundamentals of data-driven problem solving and algorithmic thinking. Tackle real-world agricultural issues by analyzing data and creating technical memos. You will also learn to program Zumo robots to carry out specific tasks using both coding and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
No prior coding experience necessary—this course is accessible to all students who have completed Math 10C.

Description: Students will learn about various aspects of training for performance. They will analyze the basic science behind activity, energy systems and macrocycles in sport training.
