News item: Board Chair statement on Trustee Hole's resignation

Following a short leave of absence, on February 28, 2025, Trustee Marcia Hole submitted her resignation as Trustee for Ward C. As per the Education Act, the Board of Trustees will be able to accept this resignation at our next Board meeting on March 4, 2025, thus putting it into effect.

Trustee Marcia Hole was first elected as Trustee for Ward C at the last municipal election, on October 18, 2021, and has served on the Edmonton Public Schools Board of Trustees for three and a half years of this term.

Board Chair Julie Kusiek issued the following statement on behalf of the Board of Trustees:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I want to thank Trustee Hole for the three years she served students and families as Trustee for Ward C, as well as for her contributions to our Board’s work. We wish her well.

The Board of Trustees will have a Caucus meeting on March 4, 2025 to decide how to make sure her constituents are represented for the rest of the term.
