Applying for yellow bus service
Whether your child is new to yellow bus service or a current rider, you need to apply for yellow bus service each school year. If you have more than one child who needs yellow bus service, you will need to apply for each child.
The deadline to apply for yellow bus service is June 1, 2025 to make sure your child receives service on the first day of school. You can always apply for bus service throughout the year as bus routes change.
NEW TO YELLOW BUS SERVICE
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1
Contact your child’s preferred school for information on yellow bus service eligibility.
STEP 2
To apply for service in:
2024–25
Complete the 2024–25 yellow bus service application form if your child needs service starting in September 2024.
STEP 3
If your child is new to the Division and has been approved for bus service for the 2024–25 school year, you will receive a letter in mid-August that includes the yellow bus:
- route number
- stop locations
- pick-up and drop off times
- company contact information
Once you have access to SchoolZone, that is where you can find yellow bus information. Route information is also available at your child’s school and through SchoolZone before the first day of school.
CURRENT YELLOW BUS RIDERS
If your child rides the yellow bus, you can apply for continued service to their current school in SchoolZone between February 3 and June 1, 2025.
When you sign in to your parent SchoolZone account:
- go to the Student Profile tab
- choose Transportation
- select Bus Application
- follow instructions to apply for yellow bus service for next year and make sure to update your contact information
Missed the June 1 deadline? Use the 2024–25 yellow bus service application form or contact your child’s school. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
