Specialized Learning Supports

Specialized Learning Supports is dedicated to helping every student experience success. This department identifies, develops and shares inclusive learning strategies and provides support through School Service teams, in consultation with staff in schools. The School Service teams, which have consultants who work in a wide range of areas, meet with principals, teachers and parents to understand how to best meet the unique needs of the student or group of students.

Specialized Learning Supports assists with services that range from classroom consultation and specialized assessments to parent sessions. It takes a team approach that brings together diverse support for both individual students and entire classrooms, and helps teachers build capacity to create the best learning environment possible for students from Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten to Grade 12.
