These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Kameyosek School

The mission of Kameyosek School is to ensure that all students achieve success in their studies and demonstrate growth in character development and citizenship. At our elementary school, language arts is taught using strategies from Balanced Literacy, 6 + 1 Traits of Writing and other best practices. Mathematics instruction includes number skills, problem solving, and higher-level thinking. Mild, moderate and severe special needs students are included in regular classrooms with support, and we offer the Cogito Program in some grades.

We are located in the heart of Mill Woods and are part of a larger educational community that includes other schools, the Mill Woods campus of Grant MacEwan University and the Mill Woods Recreation Centre. We emphasize student responsibility and leadership, and students use technology in learning. Our school benefits from parental and community involvement and from the support of our parent advisory council.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In co-operation, commitment, communication and partnership in education between parents, students, staff and community members
  • In working together to instil the desire to pursue excellence in education in our students
  • In providing quality education in a positive, safe and caring learning environment
