These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Norwood School

At Norwood School we respond to individual needs, provide challenges and focus on goal setting and individual responsibility. Our school provides regular, Pre-Kindergarten and Full-day Kindergarten programs. Literacy is enhanced with Reading Recovery, Leveled Literacy Intervention, Middle Years Literacy Intervention and a literacy coach, and we build expertise in literacy best practices. Students enjoy field trips, artistic performances and an artist-in-residence program.

As a Partners for Kids school, we meet a diverse range of student and family needs. We partner with many other organizations, including one that provides a morning snack and hot lunch program. We also have the support of a dedicated parent group, the Parents Actively Creating Educational Experiences Society.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In maximizing achievement and inspiring lifelong learning
  • That arts, culture and nature help students become citizens who can engage in all aspects of society
