Delwood School prepares all learners for success in meeting challenges in a changing world. We promote safety, respect and responsibility for self, others, school and community. With a regular English program and a French Immersion program, our elementary school provides choices to students interested in learning a second language. As a result of these diverse programs, students respect individual differences while being enthusiastic about language learning. Additionally, Delwood School is a site for the Edmonton Public Schools Interactions program, supporting students with autism spectrum disorder.
Parents and volunteers are active in our school, and community groups use our building in the evening. The Delwood Parent Support Association works closely with the administration and teachers to provide additional volunteer and financial assistance for Delwood students. Partners that lease space in Delwood School can provide families with pre-Kindergarten programming, out-of-school care, Kindercare and Ukrainian and English daycare services.
