These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About George P. Nicholson School

At George P. Nicholson School, we understand that each student learns in a unique way, and that there are various pathways to learning. Our elementary school focuses on teaching students the skills they will need for the 21st century, including leadership, technology and citizenship skills. French as a Second Language is available in Grades 4 to 6. We host many extracurricular activities such as choirs, guitar, chess club, leadership groups and sports clubs.

We foster a strong connection between the home and the school and benefit from an active school council and parent society, as well as important partnerships with community organizations such as Junior Achievement. We offer before and after-school care, through the attached YMCA, in the building and a student lunch program.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

  • Our Vision: Inspiring and opening multiple pathways for student success
  • Our Mission: Through the development of meaningful relationships and encouraging learning with a growth mindset, we believe in enabling our students to be critical and creative thinkers, leaders, and global citizens
  • Our Values: Kindness, leadership, perseverance and curiosity
