If you’re a parent or community member who has an interest in helping to eliminate systemic racism, apply to be part of our new Equity Advisory Committee. We’re filling eight positions on this 17-person committee and accepting applications until 10 a.m. on November 12, 2020.

Edmonton Public Schools is committed to supporting equity in schools and workplaces, and our new Equity Advisory Committee will help with this important work. The committee’s first focus will be on how the Division can set up a model to collect race-based data and to provide recommendations to the Superintendent around important next steps in this work.
The committee, which does not have decision-making authority, will provide initial advice and recommendations to the Superintendent by the spring of 2021. Committee members will look at questions such as:

Complete this application form before 10 a.m. on November 12, 2020. We cannot accept any applications after this deadline. Successful candidates will be notified on November 25, 2020.
Applicants who are not selected to be part of this committee will still have a chance to join in important conversations about anti-racism. Our Division will seek meaningful feedback from the community in many ways, as part of ongoing work to advance equity across our organization.
