Edmonton Public Schools celebrates Pride Week

June 6–10 is Pride Week at Edmonton Public Schools, and June is Pride Month.

The Division has held celebrations every year since 2019, when the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to declare the first week of June as Pride Week in our Division.

We have provided schools with ideas and resources to help them join in this year’s celebration of those who identify as being 2SLGBTQIA+, which stands for:

two-spirit
lesbian
gay
bisexual
transgender
queer/questioning
intersex
asexual
other gender and sexual diverse identities

Land Acknowledgment
