February is Black History Month

Join us in celebrating Black History Month! Throughout February, students, staff and community members will collectively honour the lives, histories and accomplishments of Black Albertans and Canadians. 

From art projects and social studies lessons to virtual visits from influential Black Albertans, staff and students have many initiatives planned to celebrate the incredible impact Black people have on our city, province and country.

Last year, in collaboration with Diversity Education, families, students and staff created a video to commemorate Black History Month. Thanks to the participants who shared some of their lived experiences and messages of hope for the future.
