Join us in celebrating Black History Month

February is Black History Month! This month, students, staff and community members will celebrate and learn more about the lives, histories and accomplishments of Black Albertans and Canadians.

From art projects and social studies lessons to visits from influential Black Albertans, schools will engage in activities and share in learning about the incredible impact Black people have on the city, province and country.

Join us in celebrating, and take some time to listen, hear and learn. Follow along on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for the rest of the month, where we will share some of the initiatives happening in schools to recognize Black History Month.

Land Acknowledgment
