Join us in celebrating National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month, and June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This month is an opportunity for students and staff at schools across the Division to:

• experience the vibrant diversity of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit cultures, histories, languages and perspectives
• honour the rich traditions and stories of Indigenous peoples and their cultures
• recognize First Nations, Métis, and Inuit achievements and contributions across Turtle Island
• hear Indigenous voices

Along with a collection of learning activities to support schools, several video resources that highlight and celebrate Indigenous cultures have been developed.
