We know racism still exists in our schools and communities. At Edmonton Public Schools, we are taking steps to create learning and working environments where everyone feels like they belong.
Our Anti-racism and Equity plan for 2021–22 outlines how we plan to bring about positive change for students, staff and families.
This action plan is the start of a multi-year journey toward long-term systemic change.
Over the last several months, we have listened—students, staff, families and community members have shared their lived experiences and perspectives through listening circles and group discussions.
Their voices help us understand what is important and where to begin.
