Family choice deadline extended

We know families are eager to receive information about what to expect for the 2021–22 school year. The Division is waiting for further guidance and information from the Government of Alberta, which is expected mid-August.

DEADLINE EXTENDED

To ensure families have the information they need before selecting in-person or online learning, the Division has extended the family choice deadline. Families now have until Monday, August 16 at 4 p.m. to make their selection in SchoolZone. This choice will determine how your child will learn from September to the end of January 2022.

SELECT IN SCHOOLZONE

Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account before 4 p.m. on August 16: 

• select Forms from the menu
• choose Family choice for 2021–22 

NEW FAMILIES WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL

Families new to Edmonton Public Schools, such as Kindergarten families, will receive an email notifying them of the deadline extension. The email will include a unique link families can use to submit their choice. 

FORM TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE AUGUST 7-9

SchoolZone will be temporarily unavailable between August 7 and 9 for annual upgrades. This will affect both new families and current Division families.

BACK TO SCHOOL PLAN

The Division is working on our 2021–22 Back to School Plan, using the guidelines provided by the province. This will provide detailed information to families about the upcoming school year.
